I’m experiencing a new type of past haunting, old company haunt. I know Halloween has passed but this is a new thing.

How come “company haunting”?

I came out of medical leave and, one thing that I’ve been asking for more than a year, that is “correct social security about unemployment”, to my old boss and he still hasn’t done it yet.

I don’t know if it is about stubbornness, or hate against me, or even a “pride hurt” case. But my old boss still hasn’t updated, with the right information, social security.

Wanting to proceed with my life

I came out of sickness leave because I need to work and I need to start studying again, unfortunately I can only start studying because of this case, that in court was declared that I was right.

I won’t get into details, because it’s a juridical case, in the Court of Work of Ponta Delgada. But I can tell, a few details, like I was indicted with being at fault with the company I worked at, he wanted to fire me with a supposed “just cause”, and he also wanted about 60,000 € as a compensation for his company.

Not wanting to say I won, but I did. He still has stuff to fix that, according to my attorney, he should have already done that. But to me it seems that he will try to drag this down until he finishes to have some fun.

Now, I want to proceed with my life, due to him, my name is dirty in the unemployment center and in social security, and I’m reminded over and over again how that court case haunted me.

Not to say that another toll on my health is in progress because I cannot proceed with my life due to my old boss, haunted I am for working for that one company that should not be named.

As a question I ask, is it really necessary for an old boss, to push his agenda like he was hiding pieces of the company history?

It is really necessary for an old boss, after the poor treatment given by him to his old employee, to drag down legal processes until someone is enough?

I’m feeling haunted for trying my best, with a crappy old boss, that didn’t know about how to run a company, his employees and how to give good instructions on how to do a simple modification.

Anything new to learn about this haunting?

Instead of being haunted, like I am, by a boss, see if the person shows any toxic traits while dealing with you. If yes, run.

In every job there is an experimental time, use it with wisdom to judge if you should stay or leave the company. Do not become haunted like me.
