Today, after a long time I’ve received another spam account invitation to get dirty. Not to say that I didn’t…
I love the feeling of meeting people…
As to no one surprise, I love to meet new people in certain terms. Terms like not having to be present for a first impression causes me to be received a boost on my morale, because of the inherent stress of meeting someone face to face like complete strangers in crowded places.
And if you know at least what the about me section says about me, you should know that I hate crowded places. The thing that makes things worse is zero privacy to know someone. There is always someone listening to others conversations. So no privacy.
Meeting someone online is always a risky deal, mainly because of spam accounts that pretend to be genuine until they get what they want. But I try to meet people this way because I can be more comfortable.
Fake accounts
In social media, nowadays, there are lots of fake accounts that pretend to be someone else entirely. These accounts fall under the spam section of the social media TOS and, when possible the user is mandated to report conversations and profiles of said accounts.
Most times, this is not explicit in the Terms Of Service (TOS) leaving room for interpretation, sometimes the wrong one, that the user should only block. That interpretation, despite many users having it, is wrong.
What kind of spam I receive?
I, normally receive spam in the form of “crypto scams” and of fake women wanting to share intimate pictures. Right now, I’m going to block another account after reporting. But I would forget this topic and what comes with it.
Many users are still affected by these scams and should know that they are not alone in this journey. Even I, a kind of professional in the community, may fall victim to one of these scams that are evolving rapidly. Spam is not a joke and there are many people that gain money from doing this kind of thing.
What should you look for?
Scams, that are part of spam are rapidly evolving to get even more personal with their target. With AI, I can predict that this will grow even more exponentially due to AI being trained in true conversations and what are the targets they should reach in the conversations.
Spam, it’s a simple thing, yet, to perceive, if it’s too good to be true, it is.
No one wants to send you money freely and have you paying a fee. The fee is their payment and you are screwed.
No one wants to send you private pictures, sexually ones are more dangerous, it can be used to then make you pay to keep what should never be sent, private.
Just be careful online with spam and related scams.
